TICKETS SELLING FAST TO THE 2022 GREEK FILM FESTIVAL
Astor Theatre and Palace Cinemas Como After a two-year hiatus the Greek Film Festival is back celebrating Greek cinema kicking off its 2022 season with the award-winning feature Eftihia.
Eftihia tells the story of the life of Greece’s greatest female lyricist, Eftihia Papagiannopoulou. Born in Smyrna, she travelled from Smyrna to Greece and went on to pen a massive volume of timeless popular songs which was set to music by Tsitsanis, Kaldaras, Ηiotis, and Hadjidakis, amongst others.
The Opening night is offered as a Gala event at the Astor which features live music, a festival tote bag full of goodies and food and drinks whilst the Como event also includes catering and a wine on arrival. The 2022 Greek Film Festival program follows opening night with 13 narrative features, 4 documentaries and the Student Film Festival in a diverse offering of the best that Greek cinema has to offer.
