The Greek Community of Melbourne is proud to announce the full program of the 30th Greek Film Festival (GFF), running from 14 – 26 October 2025.
Marking three decades of celebrating Greek cinema, this year’s Festival presents a dynamic line-up of new contemporary features, thought-provoking documentaries, and a curated retrospective of standout films from the Festival’s 30-year history.
This year’s Festival will also shine a spotlight on acclaimed Greek actor, screenwriter, and director Renos Haralambidis, honouring his distinctive performances and lasting contribution to modern Greek cinema.
We are especially excited to open the 30th anniversary season with the powerful historical drama Kapetan Mihalis, directed by Kostas Haralambous and based on the beloved novel by Nikos Kazantzakis.
