100 Years Mimis Plessas - A Living Tribute with Dimitris Basis

Join us for an extraordinary musical tribute marking the 100th anniversary of Mimis Plessas, one of Greece’s most revered composers.

From his early years as a piano prodigy to a career spanning 104 film scores, Plessas’ music has become a defining part of Greek cultural identity. Beloved songs such as Pios to xerei and Tosa Kalokeria continue to resonate across generations. This performance will be conducted by George Ellis, starring Dimitris Basis.

Theatre Show: Lysistrata

The Creative Drama & Arts group and the Greek Community of Melbourne return with one of the most beloved classics of ancient comedy: Lysistrata by Aristophanes. A bold, cheeky, and surprisingly modern play, Lysistrata imagines what happens when the women of Greece, tired of endless war, declare a sex strike to force the men to make peace.
