Opening night tickets now on sale!
This year's Opening Night feature in Sydney and Melbourne is Pantelis Voulgaris’ heart-rending drama THE LAST NOTE, a story of one of the darkest episodes of Nazi occupation in Greece. Co-written by Voulgaris’ wife and acclaimed novelist Ioanna Karystiani, the film recounts the lead-up to the mass execution of 200 Greek war prisoners in Chaidari concentration camp in retaliation to the ambush of four Nazi officers. Based off the final note of one of its victims, the film portrays the dignity of men in the face of death.
