GCM STUDENTS CELEBRATE OXI DAY

Greeks all across Melbourne celebrated the Greek National anniversary that is OXI day when famously the then Greek leader responded to the aggressor Italian demands of entry and subjugation to them with a one word response “OXI”. In particular, GCM students across a number of programs celebrated the National Day with events held at Alphington Grammar and every language program campus. At Malvern’s Advanced Greek campus, the students put on quite a show. | MORE

The Festival may have officially closed, but in true Greek fashion there is still more to come. Two more films by Yorgos Lanthimos, the godfather of the ‘New Greek Wave’ will be screened as double-bills at The Astor Theatre on Thursday 3 November (ALPS + THE LOBSTER). On Sunday 27 November we present Manousos Manousakis much anticipated CLOUDY SUNDAY followed by a performance by Melbourne’s much-loved Greek blues band Rebetiki.
