Με αφορμή την πανδημία COVID-19, ο συμπάροικος δικηγόρος, δημοσιογράφος και ποιητής, πρόκειται να παρουσιάσει διάλεξη για τον Αλέξανδρο Αβωνοτειχίτη (105-171μ.Χ.), έναν φιλόσοφο με μαντικές ικανότητες και μυστικιστικές τάσεις, ο οποίος ίδρυσε μαντείο στην πόλη Αβώνου Τείχος στην Παφλαγονία.

NEW ONLINE PROGRAM - GREEK FOR LATE BEGINNERS

A new online program for late beginners is being offered by the GCM since mid-July. It is aimed at students aged 10-18 who wish to start learning Greek at a beginner’s level. This course provides students with the opportunity to develop their communication skills in Modern Greek and their knowledge and understanding of the Greek language and culture. Classes will be limited to 10 students. No prior knowledge of Greek is required. New courses are commencing in early October. For more information and to enrol, click on greekcommunity.com.au/glb

Ένα νέο πρόγραμμα που θα προσφέρεται αποκλειστικά μέσω διαδικτύου ξεκίνησε στα μέσα Ιουλίου η Κοινότητά μας. Το πρόγραμμα απευθύνεται σε μαθητές ηλικίας 10 -18 ετών που ξεκινούν να μαθαίνουν ελληνικά για πρώτη φορά. Στόχος του προγράμματος είναι η ανάπτυξη των επικοινωνιακών και διαπολιτισμικών δεξιοτήτων των μαθητών στα ελληνικά. Καινούργια τμήματα θα ξεκινήσουν αρχές Οκτωβρίου. Tα τμήματα θα είναι ολιγομελή (μέχρι 10 άτομα).

LEARNING ONLINE: THE GCM SCHOOLS  MUSIC PROGRAM

Following in the successful steps of the Greek Community’s online education programs, the GCM Schools have commenced online music classes.  Music has long been held as an important marker for many cultures and as such the Music Program aims to connect children with the traditions of Greek music and song.  

Tα Σχολεία της Ελληνικής Κοινότητας ξεκίνησαν από το προηγούμενο τρίμηνο (2ο τρίμηνο) μαθήματα Μουσικής… εξ αποστάσεως! Σκοπός των μαθημάτων αυτών είναι η γνωριμία και η σύνδεση των παιδιών με ένα ακόμα στοιχείο της ελληνικής κουλτούρας και παράδοσης, τη μουσική και τα τραγούδια της.

COVID-19 AND WORKING MIGRANT COMMUNITIES

An online lecture about the COVID-19 pandemic and the migrant communities will be presented by Kos Samaras on Thursday 27 August 2020 at 7.00pm, as part of the Greek History and Culture Seminars offered by the Greek Community of Melbourne.

GCM STUDENTS PERFORM RADIO PLAYS

Students of the Greek Community of Melbourne Language Schools participate in theatrical plays, and radio stories using the new technology from home and presented by the SBS Greek program.
