The 36th Antipodes Festival amazes all!

The 36th Antipodes Festival illuminated Melbourne's historic Greek precinct on Lonsdale Street, drawing people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the vibrant spirit of the Greek community. GCM President Bill Papastergiadis OAM officiated the event, joined by dignitaries from various sectors, highlighting its significance in fostering community cohesion and appreciation for Greek heritage. This year's festival boasted a record-breaking number of stalls, showcasing a diverse array of traditional foods, delicacies, and cultural displays. With exemplary samples of Greek art, entertainment, and cuisine, the festival reinforced its status as a cornerstone event in Melbourne's cultural calendar. Renowned Greek singer Melina Aslanidou headlined the musical lineup, captivating tens of thousands with her enchanting voice and chart-topping hits, creating an evening filled with music, dance, and pure entertainment that left attendees spellbound.

Greek Language and Culture Schools

The Greek Community of Melbourne Language Schools provide innovative and high standard Greek Language and Culture classes for students from Kinder to VCE. Children learn to speak Greek in a fun and engaging environment, through songs, dance, crafts and creative drama during the early years, as well as more formal methods as they reach appropriate ages.
