Australia’s largest arts festival is once again pitching its tent at the Greek Centre from 28 March to 21 April as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival hits town.

The Greek Centre will be transformed into comedy central creating a venue that features 6 rooms and boasts an international line-up of artists that includes: DANNY BHOY (Sco), JASON LEUNG (Mys), HELEN BAUER (UK), ELF LYONS (UK), CONNOR BURNS (Sco), SCHALK BEXUIDENHOOT (SA) & Australians LUKE HEGGIE, RAY BADRAN, RUBY TEYS, CHRIS RYAN & OSHER GUNSBERG & many more!

The program also feature 3 exciting Greek Australian comics CHARISA BOSSINAKIS, ELOISE EFTOS & GEORGE DIMARELOS.

Greek Minister Livanios raises issues affecting the diaspora at his Greek Centre visit

Greece's Deputy Minister of Interior, Theodoros Livanios, was warmly welcomed by the Greek Community of Melbourne and the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne at a special event held at the Greek Centre on Thursday 20 March. GCM Dinner Dance commemorates Greek National Day

The Greek Community of Melbourne held its annual Greek National Day Dinner Dance at the Panarcadian Association Hall on Friday 22 March. The event brought together community members, leaders, and public figures for an evening of cultural celebration, featuring delicious food and live performances by popular Melbourne band "Anagenisi" and GCM's own talented Dance Group.

Church reopens in time for its Feast Day

The historic "Annunciation of Our Lady” church reopened to the public in time for its 25 March feast day boasting a partly completed new marble floor, new furniture and fixtures including new chandeliers. The reinstatement work that has continued since the devastating fire some years ago also showed the commencement of the iconographic work that is being undertaken in the church. Work still continues under the expert guidance of heritage architect Arthur Andronas and with the benevolent support of the Andrianopoulos family..

Professor Nikos Papastergiadis's latest book, "The Cosmos in Cosmopolitanism," is set to be launched on Wednesday 24 April at the Greek Centre, with Professor Paul Carter leading the event. Papastergiadis will engage in a conversation with Carter during the launch, which will be hosted by Olyvia Nikou and Maya Papastergiadis.
