Mark your calendar as Greek Australian authors, publishers and fans of Greek Australian literature gather for what is becoming an annual festival of published works at the 2023 Greek Book Fair. Presented by the Greek Community of Melbourne, in collaboration with the Greek-Australian Cultural League and the Hellenic Writers’ Association of Australia, the Book Fair will feature 25+ stalls that celebrate the broad church that is the Greek Australian literary world.

OΧΙ Day Commemoration

This year, the Greek Community of Melbourne's Language and Culture Schools embarked on a unique OXI Day celebration, focusing on the theme of "peace," which resonates strongly amidst today's global challenges. The event not only honored the historical bonds that unite the Greek people and the ANZACs but also emphasised the enduring pursuit of peace in a changing world.

GCM Students Awarded

Students from the Greek Community of Melbourne (GCM) school were honored for their participation in the AHMF competition during a ceremony on Sunday, 22 October, at the Memorial's location in Domain Gardens. The event was attended by AHMF members, sponsors, and veterans.

Reinstatement Works at historic Church continue

The Holy Church of ‘The Annunciation of Our Lady’ will be temporarily closed this spring due to the installation of a new marble floor and furniture. The continued restoration of the church has been made possible primarily due to the generous support of the Andrianopoulos Family. The church will re-open for Divine Liturgy during the Christmas celebrations.
