The 2023 Greek Film Festival is just around the corner

Mark your calendars as the highly anticipated 2023 Greek Film Festival is just around the corner. 
- On the 19th of October the 2023 Greek Film Festival kicks off with the multi award winning film, "Behind the Haystacks", directed by Asimina Proerdou.  
- From 19 to 29 October an exceptional lineup of films that capture the essence of Greek cinema will be showcased:  17 features, 7 documentaries, including and the first Greek digital animation feature film, Karagiozis: The movie & the return of the 11th Greek Student Film Festival. 
- Also, two significant tributes will be featured as part of this year's program: a heartfelt tribute to the iconic actress Irene Papas and a moving commemoration titled "From Thessaloniki to Auschwitz: 80 Years”, honouring the memory of the Jewish community of Thessaloniki.  
In 2023, the Greek Film Festival will be shown at Palace Cinema Como, Palace Balwyn Cinema and the Astor Theatre and runs from 19 to 29 October.

GCM Students to mentor their grandparents in tech matters

GCM Students have been invited to participate in a unique program that sees students taught to be mentors to their grandparents.  The program which is designed and led by Ms Christina Delianis and partly funded by the Department of Social Services is focussed in reducing generational gaps and improving intergenerational communication.
