The Nikolaos Andrianakos Foundation Supports St. Demetrios Hall Transformation

A major new investment in culture and community will see the transformation of St Demetrios Hall in Prahran into the future Nikolaos Andrianakos Cultural Centre.

Supported through a significant contribution from the Nikolaos Andrianakos Foundation, the new multi-disciplinary space will create opportunities for performances, exhibitions, community gatherings and cultural experiences for generations to come.

We're bringing those Greek Summer Club nights to cold and dreary Melbourne for 12-17 year olds!

The inaugural Blue+White Night at The Greek is designed exclusively for young people wanting to experience the energy of a Greek club night. Featuring celebrated club DJs Kosta Nico and Johnny G, the evening will bring together music, dancing and a chance to spend time with friends in a safe and supervised environment in the heart of Melbourne.

This is a strictly alcohol-free event. Ticket includes pizza and soft drinks.

A Wonderful Celebration of the Music of Mimis Plessas

A sold-out Melbourne Recital Centre welcomed more than 1,000 people for 100 Years of Mimis Plessas – A Living Tribute with Dimitris Basis, celebrating the life and legacy of one of Greece’s most influential composers.

Featuring Dimitris Basis, George Ellis, Maria Yiakoulis and a 20-piece orchestra, the evening brought audiences together in a moving celebration that concluded with a standing ovation.

Give your child the opportunity to start learning Greek from home with our Beginners Level A1.1 online class for students aged 10–18. Designed for complete beginners, students will build confidence through practical language skills including the Greek alphabet, everyday conversation and essential vocabulary.

Our Adult Greek Language Program offers classes from Beginner through to Advanced, with options available in person at The Greek Centre and online. Whether you’re learning for travel, family, culture or personal interest, there’s a class to suit your level.

New to Greek? Beginner A1.1 starts Wednesday 15 July and is designed for people starting from scratch, covering everyday communication, introductions and the foundations of the language.
