Paddy Montgomery: infatuated with Cretan music after hearing Giorgos Xylouris and Ross Daly, where he developed an interest in the laouto and the lyra. First visiting Crete in 2005, he has been studying and performing Cretan music alongside these two musicians, as well as many other musicians from Crete both in Australia and abroad. Four trips to Crete later, he continues to play and promote Cretan music wherever he can. So if anyone is at a loose end in the city, the program will be 100% Kritika.
