Στην διάλεξη αυτή θα παρουσιαστεί μια άλλη ιστορία των ανατρεπτικών και ριζοσπαστικών ιδεών στον ελλαδικό χώρο. Αυτή που διασώζει τις αγωνίες των απλών ανθρώπων. Αυτή, που για να τη βρεις πρέπει να σκαλίζεις σαν τυμβωρύχος, κάτω από τα βαθιά γεωλογικά στρώματα των μεγάλων αφηγήσεων. Γιατί εκεί βρίσκονται διασκορπισμένα τα ‘κεραμικά’ θραύσματα των αγώνων που πέρασαν. Θα παρουσιαστεί στην ουσία ένα βιβλίο μέσα από τις σελίδες του οποίου επιχειρείται να έρθουν στο φως ιστορίες που μοιάζουν χαμένες πίσω από τις σκονισμένες σελίδες των επίσημων αρχείων. Στιγμιότυπα κοινωνικών και επαναστατικών αγώνων που, όπως και στην περίπτωση κάθε ενοχλητικής αφήγησης που θολώνει την εικόνα του εθνικού και κυριαρχικού αφηγήματος, μένουν συστηματικά υποφωτισμένα από την επίσημη ιστοριογραφία. Πρόκειται για σταθμούς της ιστορίας και της δράσης των πρώτων αναρχικών, ελευθεριακών και ουτοπικών σοσιαλιστών, που έδρασαν από τα μέσα του 19ου αιώνα και εντεύθεν στον ελλαδικό χώρο.
Το εγχείρημα μιας τέτοιου ειδους ιστοριογραφίας μοιάζει ρηξικέλευθρο. Διότι η ιστορία ως μέθοδος ενέχει ένα θεμελιώδες εξουσιαστικό χαρακτηριστικό· την απαίτηση να αφηγηθεί εκ των υστέρων, να περιοδολογίσει και να εξηγήσει, με βάση τις τωρινές της βλέψεις, το ζωντανό παρελθόν βίωμα των πρωταγωνιστών. Και στην προσπάθειά της αυτή, η ιστορία, αξιώνει συνήθως περγαμηνές εγκυρότητας υψηλότερες από τις ίδιες τις πηγές της. Πέραν των άλλων δυσκολιών, λοιπόν, το εγχείρημα μιας ιστορίας έτσι όπως παρουσιάζεται εδώ εμπεριέχει και ένα κρίσιμο μεθοδολογικό πρόβλημα, καθώς πρέπει να βρει εκείνους τους τρόπους αφήγησης που δεν θα πέσουν στις συνήθεις μεθοδολογικές αξιώσεις της κυριαρχίας.

This seminar will outline an alternative perspective of subversive and radical ideas in Greece. One which rescues the anxieties of ordinary people. One which can only be uncovered, if you dig like a grave robber, under the deep geological layers of grand narratives. Because it is there, that can be found scattered 'ceramic' fragments of struggles that have passed. In essence a book will be presented where attempts are made through its pages to bring to light stories that look lost behind the dusty pages of official records. Highlights of social and revolutionary struggles, that as in the case of any annoying narrative that blurs the image of a national and sovereign narrative, remain systematically obscured by official historiography. These are the stories of the history and the actions of the first anarchist, libertarian and utopian socialists who appeared from the middle of the 19th century onwards in Greece.
The task of such historiography seems groundbreaking because history as a method involves the fundamental attribute of authority; the requirement to tell in retrospect, to periodize and explain, based on its current aspirations, the living past experience of the protagonists.
And in this endeavor, history usually claims parables of validity higher than its own sources. Beyond the other difficulties, the attempt of history as presented here also contains a critical methodological problem, as it must find those forms of narrative that will not fall into the usual methodological claims of sovereignty.

Ο Δημήτρης Τρωαδίτης γεννήθηκε το 1959 στην Αθήνα. Στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1970 με αρχές της δεκαετίας του 1980 συμμετείχε σε ομάδα θεάτρου σκιών και μουσικό συγκρότημα. Σπούδασε Δημοσιογραφία. Εργάστηκε για μια και πλέον δεκαετία σε εκδοτικούς οίκους και βιβλιοπωλεία της Αθήνας. Το 1992 εγκαταστάθηκε μόνιμα στη Μελβούρνη όπου εργάζεται ως διορθωτής εφημερίδας και δημοσιογράφος. Έχει έως τώρα κυκλοφορήσει έξι ποιητικές συλλογές, με πιο πρόσφατη τη συλλογή "Λοξές Ματιές” (από τις αθηναϊκές εκδόσεις Στοχαστής, Γενάρης 2019) και η οποία παρουσιάστηκε στο πλαίσιο του πολύ πρόσφατου Greek Writers Festival, εδώ στο Ελληνικό Κέντρο, του οποίου ήταν από τους οργανωτές. Ποιήματά του έχουν δημοσιευτεί σε πάμπολλα λογοτεχνικά περιοδικά και μπλογκ στην Ελλάδα και την Αυστραλία, στα ελληνικά και τα αγγλικά. Για χρόνια οργάνωνε δημόσιες ποιητικές αναγνώσεις στη Μελβούρνης, ενώ ασχολείται, επίσης και με την ποιητική μετάφραση. Dimitris Troaditis was born in Athens in 1959. Towards the end of the 1970s and the ear-ly 1980 he participated in a shadow theatre and musical group. He studied journalism and worked at various publishing houses and bookshops in Athens. In 1992 he moved perma-nently to Melbourne where he worked as an editor and journalist. He has released six po-etry collections, the most recent being ‘Sideways Glances’ where it was presented most recently at the Greek Writers Festival , held at the Greek Centre, and of which he was one of the organizers. Many of his poems have been published in a variety of literature journals and blogs in Greece and Australia, and in both Greek and English. For quite some time now he has been organizing poetry readings and in involved in poetry transla-tions. He is the administrator of the website ‘The Sieve’ http://tokoskino.wordpress.com
