Synopsis
In the years since 1974, AHI and its affiliate organizations have championed the rule of law and American values in foreign policy as in the best interests of the U.S. This is especially true in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, a region critically important to American national interests.
Mr Larigakis was appointed president of the AHI in 2011 following a 19-year term as its executive officer. He is one of the outstanding Greek-Americans of the 21st century who and has been responsible for a number of key legislative conferences, trade conferences and two congressional fact finding delegations to Greece. Introduced by Dean Kalimniou, Mr Larigakis will present an insightful lecture on the current state of the United States Relations with Greece and Cyprus and the role the AHI plays in that relationship.
