WEIRD WAVES: THE FILMS OF YORGOS LANTHIMOS

The Delphi Bank 23rd Greek Film Festival in Melbourne proudly spotlights cult filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, screening his entire body of work to date in a series of double-bills at the iconic Astor Theatre. The program includes the Australian premiere screening of Lanthimos’ first feature Kinetta (2005), as well as past favourites Dogtooth (GFF ‘09), Alps (GFF ’12), and his latest festival hit The Lobster (2015).

EYE-OPENING DOCUMENTARIES

All documentary tickets only $15.
The 2016 documentary program presents a collection of films that shine a light on Greece's history at home (Beneath the Olive Tree) and abroad (Ludlow), as well as deconstructing current events (#ThisIsACoup).

Also screening is Helen Kapalos' directorial debut A Life of Its Own: The Truth About Medical Marijuana. Kapalos will participate in Q&A sessions following screenings in Melbourne and Sydney.
