Hear footy lover and painter Jim Pavlidis lead a fascinating examination of the game, Australian culture and politics with writers George Megalogenis and Tom Petsinis. He has held 20 solo exhibitions and participated in over 70 group exhibitions. His work is in public collections, including the Australian National Gallery, the State Libraries of Victoria and NSW. Awards include the Rick Amor Print Prize, State Library of Victoria Creative Fellowship. Macmillan Art Books published a collection of his portraits of Greek migrants in 2010. George Megalogenis is a journalist, political commentator and author. His books include The Longest Decade, The Australian Moment and The Football Solution. Tom Petsinis has published seven collections of poetry, including Four Quarters, which won the Wesley Michel Wright Poetry Prize.His drama The Drought won the Wal Cherry Playscript of the Year Award and was short-listed for the Victorian Premier’s Award. His novels include The French Mathematician, nominated for the New South Wales and South Australian Premier’s Award. |
