Australia’s largest arts festival is once again pitching its tent at the Greek Centre from 28 March to 21 April as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival hits town.

Over 7,000 patrons have caught a show at the Greek Centre in the past 3 weeks and with shows receiving critical acclaim like Greek Australian ELOUSIE EFTOS in Australia’s First Attractive Comedian (6 Stars Stage Whispers), ELF LYONS (UK) in the critically acclaimed Raven (4 stars The Age), DAVID CORREOS (NZ) I can’t stop Vibrating (4 stars The Age), Comedy at the Greek is not to be missed! THE ATHENIAN FUNERAL ORATION

Lecture | 18 Apr | Greek Centre
Associate Professor of Greek History at the University of Queensland, David M. Pritchard, is set to deliver an online lecture titled "The Athenian Funeral Oration: After Nicole Loraux" on Thursday 18 April 2024, at 7pm. This lecture is part of the Greek History and Culture Seminars offered by the Greek Community of Melbourne.

THE COSMOS IN COSMOPOLITANISM by Prof NIKOS PAPASTERGIADIS

Book launch | 24 Apr | Greek Centre
"The Cosmos in Cosmopolitanism," is set to be launched on Wed 24 April at the Greek Centre, with Prof Paul Carter leading the event. Papastergiadis will engage in a conversation with Carter during the launch, which will be hosted by Olyvia Nikou and Maya Papastergiadis. The book launch will commence at 6:30pm on the Mezzanine Level of 168 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne. All are welcome.

KASTELLORIZO & ITS GOLD

The Greek Community of Melbourne will present a lecture entitled "Kastellorizo and its Gold", at the Greek Centre, on Thu 9 May 2024, as part of the Greek History and Cultre Seminars series. Led by speaker Nick Bogiatzis, this event will explore the fascinating past of Kastellorizo, focusing on its unique trade history and cultural significance.

PSAROKOKALO: A SELECTION OF SHORTS FROMTHEH ATHESN SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

Film Festival | 19 May | Greek Centre
A curated selection of short films from the Athens Short Film Festival, Psarokokalo, will be screened at the Greek Centre on 19 May 2024. Featuring films like "Starry Memories," "Taxi Hijinks," "Emotional Journeys," "Memory Lane," "Family Matters," and "Love Across Borders," attendees can expect a diverse and engaging cinematic experience.
