A significant rally calling for justice for Cyprus will take place at Federation Square at 2 p.m. this Sunday. Since Turkey's unlawful invasion in 1974, the occupied territory has faced a persistent military presence and an influx of 200,000 illegal settlers, threatening the cultural identity of Turkish-Cypriots and perpetuating division. This occupation contradicts Turkey's claims of peacekeeping, exacerbating tensions among Cypriots and underscoring the need for urgent resolution.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne & Victoria, along with ΣEKA Victoria and the Cyprus Community of Melbourne & Victoria, are hosting a series of lectures at the Greek Centre to delve into the complexities of the Cyprus Issue
