Visiting Greek Minister to discuss postal vote at The Greek Centre

The Greek Community of Melbourne to welcome the arrival of Greece's Alternate Interior Minister, Theodoros Livanios with an event at The Greek Centre. Taking place on Thursday 21 March at 6:30pm, the evening has been organised in collaboration with the  Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne.

The evening is open to all to attend and will offer the opportunity to the visiting Minister to present on a range of matters that affect the diaspora with particular information on the upcoming elections and postal vote.

The Annunciation of Our Lady REOPENING

 FEAST DAY I Sunday 24 & Monday 25 March 

Melbourne’s Evangelismos Church, known as The Annunciation of Our Lady, is preparing to welcome back its faithful congregation after a transformative restoration project.

The reopening of this historic Greek Orthodox church will take place set against the backdrop of the Sunday of Orthodoxy feast and the National Day of March 25, 1821.

Greek Language and Culture Schools

The Greek Community of Melbourne Language Schools provide innovative and high standard Greek Language and Culture classes for students from Kinder to VCE. Children learn to speak Greek in a fun and engaging environment, through songs, dance, crafts and creative drama during the early years, as well as more formal methods as they reach appropriate ages.

Greek for late beginners 10-18 y/o | Online

An innovative online program for late beginners is being offered by the GCΜ. It is aimed at students aged 10-18 who wish to start learning Greek at a beginner’s level. This course provides students with the opportunity to develop their communication skills in Modern Greek and their knowledge and understanding of the Greek language and culture. Classes will be limited to 10 students.
