Hilarious Comedy 'Best Friends Forever' to open 2026 Greek Film Festival

The opening night film for the 31st Greek Film Festival has been announced. Φίλοι Για Πάντα (Best Friends Forever) is the new feel-good comedy from acclaimed Greek filmmaker Konstantinos Mousoulis. Over 130 screenings will take place in 7 cinemas across Melbourne adding Palace Cinemas in Moonee Ponds, the Kino in the City and the historic Westgarth at festival venues from 13 - 25 October. 

Opening night tickets will be on sale to the general public from Wed 12 Aug. 

Comedy At the Greek: Peter Kypri Live

Peter Kypri returns with his brand-new stand-up comedy show, This Better Be Funny M*laka, a night of relatable stories, hilarious observations, and laugh-out-loud moments inspired by growing up between cultures and the everyday absurdities of life. Keep an eye out for Souvlakis, who might make a surprise appearance, chat with the crowd, and pull a few lucky audience members into the fun.

Harry Jun is back with his bestselling show 'Inside Jokes, Outside Voice' for an extra show at The Greek.

2026 Greek Community Cup

The 2026 Greek Community Football Cup is set to become a month-long celebration of football, with the exciting addition of Junior, Youth, and Masters competitions.

For the first time, young footballers will have the chance to compete in their own tournament, proudly represent their clubs, and be part of a growing community tradition. Bringing together Greek clubs and players of all ages, the expanded Cup promises great football, community spirit, and plenty of excitement on and off the pitch.

Underage: The Greek Club Night

We're bringing those Greek Summer Club nights to cold and dreary Melbourne. 

The inaugural Underage: The Greek Club Night at The Greek Centre is designed for Under 18's wanting to experience the famous energy of a Greek Club night. Featuring celebrated club DJs Kosta Nico and Johnny G, the evening brings together music, dancing and a chance to spend time with friends and have fun in a safe environment.

This is a strictly alcohol-free event. Ticket includes Entry, Pizza and Soft Drinks.
